Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of Equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Nikon Z6II and use two lenses, a 24-70 which I use for portraits and a 70-200 which I use for sports and action. That combination of lenses allows me to get a huge variety of shots!
What happens if i don’t like the product?
All photos are delivered with a watermark. Once payment is received, a new file is sent with the watermark removed. If you do not like my work and do not wish to pay for my time, the watermark remains.
What happens if i hire you to record a game and we lose?
Win or lose, you get the video. Sorry, I cannot edit the video to make you the winner. If you would like to hire me for a subsequent game, we can negotiate a discount on a future game.
When do i get my photos or video?
The turnaround time varies because my schoolwork comes first, but I can usually edit the photos or videos within a day or two. After I edit my work, I send you the photos/videos via private Flickr link. Note that prior to payment, all photos/videos have a watermark, which is removed after payment is received.
how do i pay for the photos/videos?
I can take Venmo, Apple Cash, or a personal check. I do not take credit cards and my generation doesn’t know what to do with cash.
Who owns the photos/videos?
Once payment is received, the product is yours to print for personal use or to send to friends, post on social media, etc. I retain the original copyright to use for promotional purposes, assignments, and competitions. I am happy to exclude pictures from my portfolio that might embarrass someone or those you might wish me to exclude.
are prices negotiable?
Prices are reflective of my experience and age. If you want to argue with a 16 year old over $50 for a game, feel free to hire someone more expensive.
are you limited to do sports?
No, but I am not ready for weddings. I can do portraits, team shots, family photos, birthday parties (as long as there is cake), and other events. Just ask.
What about parent permission?
It is my strong preference to be hired by parents who have arranged photography with the knowledge of other team parents. If a fellow minor asks me to remove a photo from my portfolio, I am happy to oblige, but I cannot be responsible once photos are delivered and shared.
